My Journey, My Purpose

Hello, and welcome! My name is Catherine Washington , and my life's work has been dedicated to helping children and families thrive.

With over 20 years of experience as a Case Manager for the State of Missouri, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with families from all walks of life, guiding them through challenges and ensuring that every child receives the support they deserve.

My passion for mentorship, education, and family empowerment

led me to create a space where children and their caregivers can find the guidance, resources, and encouragement they need. That space became Children With a Purpose —a mission-driven initiative designed to uplift children and strengthen families.

Why I Started Children With a Purpose

I founded Children With a Purpose in 2001 to

fill a critical gap in services available to families. Many government programs are limited, and access to essential resources is often restricted by circumstances beyond a family's control.

I saw firsthand how families were left without the support they needed simply because they didn’t fit into the right category.

So, I made a commitment—to serve ALL families. Regardless of

race, religion, financial situation, or legal status, I wanted to create a program that welcomes any child, any parent, any guardian who seeks guidance.
